Release information:
FYI: God, this one's a mess. We had about half the material written and recorded (sans vocals on all but 3 songs) for the 4th album when Fred suddenly quit in 1997. The band had officially broken up after he left, but had been miraculously resuscitated when Kangaroo offered to bring us over to Europe for one last tour. After a lot of hedging about what we were going to do with the recordings we decided to use what was finished and round it off with 3 more new songs. Two of these new songs were Alien Blood Transfusion songs and were recorded in the same session as the first ABT EP, hence Kevin's appearance here. There are about 5 songs from the first session with Fred that never got finished or re-recorded. This was rush-released in time for the tour. Kangaroo tried to balance out the different sounds between the two recording sessions by applying an overall distortion during mastering. It helped it to sound a little more homogenous, I suppose, but it's pretty abrasive. Oh, whoever can guess who's eyes those are on the cover gets 100 points...
